The Tidö parties M, C, L and SD want to increase the defense budget to SEK 660 million in 2023. – Internal and external security are the state’s core tasks, to create conditions and prepare for NATO entry, says Oscar Sjöstedt. In addition to that, order authorisations, which deal with purchases – at the Armed Forces are being increased by SEK 16.7 billion. – We are in a situation where the entire global defense industry is in high gear, almost all other countries in Europe are equipping themselves, which is good, but it also means increased competition for Sweden, says Oscar Sjöstedt. The Minister of Defense says that it is about measures that the Armed Forces have stated are necessary to reach the growth targets decided on by the government.
