About ten days after its announcement, the new update for GTA Online is finally available. - Project Subversion: 6 new contact missions in which 1 to 4 players will cooperate with Charlie Reed, a former heist companion, to dismantle the operations of Merryweather:

- Training : Merryweather has lined his pockets by shooting down contraband planes, but the wreckage strewn across Los Santos still contains valuable goods. Dive into the depths of the sea and use heat vision to locate and collect loot.
- Air parade: Charlie has collected new, state-of-the-art jet planes and asks you to make sure they are in perfect condition and ready for resale.
- Out of line: Merryweather moves cargo closer to his base of operations, giving you a perfect opportunity to intercept them.
- Unconventional warfare: Avi Schwartzman, the famously talented hacker, has been kidnapped and is being held in a government building. Charlie wants to get him out of there.
- Shock and awe: With your and Avi’s help, Charlie is ready to take on the big guys at Merryweather HQ to steal their gear.
- 3 New Los Santos Angels Ops (Freemode Missions)
- Direct action: Parachute out of a Merryweather aircraft carrier at night and stealthily steal two amphibious vehicles before fleeing.
- Surgical strike: Follow a Merryweather vehicle and hack its GPS to discover the location of their base of operations. Then, using flares or beacons, mark the targets on the base before departing and calling in an airstrike.
- Alert launcher : Infiltrate the IAA site using an EMP and night vision goggles to locate and steal the hard drive before the backup generator restores power.

- Improvements to the experience of GTA Online
- New Career Tracking Menu: A new menu allowing players on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S to track their progress towards new reward tiers based on previous game updates, with each tier including outfits, GTA$ or reward vehicles.
- Several fan-requested gameplay improvements will be added to make it easier for players to register as bosses, recover all of their destroyed vehicles via Mors Mutual, and more, including:
- Customizable descriptions for garages to allow players to locate their favorite vehicles faster when calling the mechanic.
- The Willard Eudora and Classic Broadway will be usable for taxi missions if they feature the appropriate pattern.
- Rank requirements for body armor will be removed.
- Bulletproof protectors will be replenished after a quick restart of a mission.
- Profile migration to PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S will no longer delete the previous generation profile.
- Alternate command option to sprint (hold to sprint) in the Settings menu.
- Additional filters for race types in the Activities menu.
- Players will be able to choose the name of their acid production to receive a 5% sales bonus.
- Higher rewards for various collectibles and events, including Buried Caches and Treasure Chests, as well as Gerald’s Last Shot and On My Yacht missions.
