Niinistö: We will continue hand in hand

Niinistö is asked about Finland’s NATO timetable, and he assures once again that Finland wants to join NATO hand in hand with Sweden.

Turkey has hinted at the possibility of accepting Finland’s NATO membership earlier than Sweden’s.

– I don’t know what Turkey thinks. There’s only one man in the world who knows what’s going on. I’ve said many times that we go hand in hand if it’s up to us. But Turkey decides on ratification, and we can’t do anything about it, Niinistö said.

Kristersson also states that the countries wish to join NATO at the same time.

Trilateral talks with Turkey will resume in a few weeks.
