Decathlon Outdoor is launching a program of guided meditation walks. A way to exercise while focusing on your senses.
During your walks and hikes, do you find it difficult to detach yourself from the hassles of everyday life? The “meditative walk” may be for you. Its principle is simple: reconnect with your senses by walking.
If this mode of travel is done daily, to go from point A to point B, walking can also allow you to recharge your batteries. This is the bet launched by the application Decathlon Outdoor which offers “guided meditation walks”, completely free. “Combining walking and meditation is a doubly powerful and beneficial tool for mental, spiritual and physical health.explains the Decathlon Outdoor application in a press release.
Checking in with your emotions
The French company is launching, in partnership with the meditation application Little Bamboo, a series of routes through France. The itineraries, to be followed with or without headphones on the ears, offer sounds of nature and slide “benevolent advice to help take a step aside”.
Thanks to this mindful walk, to be done both in the middle of nature and at the foot of skyscrapers, the objective of 30 minutes of walking per day, around 10,000 steps, can be achieved more easily.
This meditative walk allows you to check in with your emotions, to stop ruminating to free oneself. It also helps to strengthen the resistance of the ankles, to work on your breath. For those who wish, this practice is developing more and more in national parks or in the forests on the outskirts of large cities.
