The media misrepresents Turkey

In a debate article in The evening paper writes Yönet C Tezel, among other things, about claims that a Swedish police report on Foxtrot network leader Rawa Majid, known as the Kurdish fox, was leaked to Majid by Turkish diplomats and authorities.

“Getting to know about this claim via the media, for us, went completely against the security cooperation we have with Sweden, especially since the NATO process started,” writes the ambassador.

He adds that the investigations by the police in Sweden and Turkey will reveal what really happened.

“If there has been a leak in Turkey, we will of course deal with it,” writes the ambassador.

Yönet C Tezel also points out that the media in Turkey are now “angry” about Swedish gangs shooting each other in Turkish streets.

“Unfortunately, several people who are associated with gang violence in Sweden have made it to Turkey. Their criminal background was not known to the Turkish authorities,” he writes.
