Färjestad won against Örebro. But with only a few minutes left in the third period, the away supporters wanted to celebrate a little extra.
Green smoke spread in the arena after fans used pyrotechnics. The match was stopped for several minutes, and guards had to step in to control the supporters.
The SHL has strict rules regarding pyrotechnics. Several clubs have been punished. So-called flag bans, meaning that fans are forced to refrain from using flags and other supporter items, have been a recurring punishment.
Now Färjestad’s supporters risk being prosecuted by the police, and being banned from flying flags if the league decides to do so.
Färjestad won the match 2-4.
