MCU boss Kevin Feige has not only once mentioned that he is Matrix and John Wick star Keanu Reeves definitely get into his Marvel franchise want. For example, a few years ago, there was a rumor that Reeves was in talks for a role in Eternals. But again nothing came of it.
With Captain Marvel, which now runs on ProSieben, it almost worked at the time. Reeves was specifically scheduled for one rolebut due to lack of time the dream burst again.
Keanu Reeves was first set to play Jude Law in Captain Marvel
The MCU blockbuster starring Brie Larson also stars Jude Law as commander of the Kree Empire Yon Rogg to see. As Screen Rant reports, Keanu Reeves was actually intended for this character at the time.

After all, the Marvel cast coup didn’t work out because of the star’s most iconic role in years. Captain Marvel filming would have overlapped with John Wick 3 productionso Reeves had to cancel.
However, fans should not give up hopes of a Keanu Reeves appearance in the MCU. In late 2021, according to Consequence, the star himself spoke about admiring Kevin Feige’s universe and it it would be an honor for him to be part of it.
