With The Mandalorian Season 3 ending, many fans are excited to see how the Star Wars series continues. Although season 4 has not yet been officially confirmed by Lucasfilm and Disney, showrunner Jon Favreau has hinted a while ago that he will start with the Working on the new episodes started.
As Deadline reports, we will probably have to be prepared for a longer waiting time. Despite the hard work done by Favreau’s team Apparently the start of production is delayed the 4th season. The reason for this is the strike by screenwriters in Hollywood, which has been making headlines since the beginning of May.

As Deadline has learned from its sources, filming for Season 4 of The Mandalorian was originally scheduled to begin in September 2023. However, due to the strike, it now looks like it will the start of shooting was postponed. However, it is unclear whether we are talking about weeks or months.

More than Star Wars: That’s behind the strike
The screenwriters, represented by the WGA (Writers Guild of America), are currently taking to the streets to campaign for a fight for fair compensation, which corresponds to the changed film and series landscape in the streaming age. The WGA strike is an important issue and it affects many productions.
The Mandalorian isn’t the first Star Wars series to be affected by the strike. Just last week, Andor creator Tony Gilroy announced that he is stepping down from all creative responsibilities on Season 2 pending an agreement between the WGA and the AMPTP (Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers).
