Late on Thursday evening, a young man was seen running through Bredäng in Stockholm. Close behind him another person followed.
The man ran through the residential area to get away from his pursuer.
But outside a gate at an apartment building, the other person caught up with the man. The pursuer fired several shots that hit the young man – first when the man was standing up, then when he was lying down, according to reports.
At least one of the shots hit him in the head, according to police.
Sources describe the murder as “a pure execution”. According to Aftonbladet’s information, the murder must also have been caught on film.

Heard woman scream
Several residents in the area reacted to the explosions and went out to their balconies to see what had happened late Thursday night.
On the ground lay the shot man. A pool of blood had formed around him.
Witnesses then saw a woman run forward and throw herself over the body. Then she started screaming.
– It was so heartbreaking. That kind of despair that goes beyond everything else, a witness has previously told Aftonbladet.

Details: Escaped on an electric scooter
The suspected shooter is said to have been seen running from the scene of the murder and then driving away on an electric scooter.
But so far no one has been arrested and a hunt for the suspected killer is still ongoing.
The man who was murdered was 26 years old. He is said to have previously served a prison sentence for drug offenses and he is connected to a criminal network in the area, according to information.
The fatal shooting is the second in Stockholm this year. Just a week earlier, another fatal shooting took place in Skärholmen, a few kilometers from Bredäng.
Looking at connection to previous crime
The police have previously said that they are looking into whether the murder in Bredäng has any connection to other acts of violence. Lisa dos Santos, the prosecutor who leads the investigation into the murder, also says that they are looking at what connections it may have to the gang environment.
“In light of the crime we are talking about, that is, fatal gun violence, a young man shot with several shots, including in the head, there is a lot to suggest that it is connected to a gang environment. But in what way is nothing I can comment on at the moment,” writes Lisa dos Santos in an email.
