During the autumn, a young man was exposed to a series of crimes in a municipality in Västerbotten. He was at a playground with his temporary lodger and her children, when the woman’s ex-partner, a man in his 25s, suddenly appeared, armed with a gun.
The man was forced into a car where another man armed with a knife was waiting.
The woman’s ex whispered to him that “this is your court” and urged him to confess. He also said that if he told the slightest lie, he would shoot him dead. The man also said his friend could “freak out” and cut his throat, according to the indictment.
The woman was waiting in the apartment
They pulled their victim into the car, laid him down and drove away at 180 kilometers per hour. The drive lasted several hours. The ex-partner talked about how he was going to kill the man in a slow way and “mash his testicles”.
He was taken to his own residence, where his lodger was waiting. She is said to have asked “if everything went well?”.
The man was then subjected to a beating that would last throughout the night. The two men punched and kicked him, pushed, poked or pinched his eyes with fingers, pulled his hair and grabbed and twisted his nose – among other things.
After that, they forced the man to write a “confession”. In police questioning, he talks about what he wrote in the letter, which TV4 Nyheterna has seen:
– That “I apologize for trying to rape you and the children. That I’m a pedophile. That I’m a drug addict. That I’m a drug dealer and arms dealer” and god knows what else. I do this at gunpoint while she sits there watching and even sits on his lap and kisses him while this is happening,’ the victim told police.
Swished 5,000
The man was also forced to write a text message to his roommate that the ex-partner dictated. It was about him being interested in children. In retrospect, he himself calls the confession “obsessed”.
After that, the man was forced to hand the woman 5,000 kroner and the ex-partner said the man would send another 20,000 kroner to her – every month.
He was forced to strip naked and shower in cold water. By then the clock had reached 04.30. The man was then locked in the toilet, until they let him out again in the morning, when he was also allowed to leave his apartment.
The woman’s child slept in the home through the night.
The men and the woman were later arrested and brought to trial. Lycksele district court believes the man’s story and writes that it “lacks exaggerations or contradictions”.
The accusations lack support
Above all, the defendants have stated that the background to the ex-partner coming to the place in question that autumn day was a fear that the children were being sexually molested, and that the man with whom the woman lived was obsessed with her and that she therefore wanted to move. The district court states that these accusations are completely unsupported by the investigation.
At the same time, the district court describes several of the information provided by the defendants as not credible.
The woman’s ex-partner is now sentenced to four years in prison, including for kidnapping. His friend is sentenced for breaking the law on the prohibition of knives and other objects, aiding and abetting kidnapping and theft. The punishment for him will be imprisonment for one year and six months.
The man’s resident is convicted of aiding and abetting illegal coercion and theft. The penalty for her will be probation and 60 hours of community service.
