It looks to be a grim year in Stockholm in terms of the number of people who die after being shot. So far this year, 16 people have died.

“No longer of a warning nature”

In 2018, 11 people died in Stockholm after being shot. Since then, the number of people shot to death has increased. Last year there were 23 people and it looks like 2022 will also be a gloomy year, until yesterday 16 people have died, according to the police.

13 of the 16 firearm murders that have occurred this year have occurred in the southern parts of Stockholm.
