Probably no one expected that we would hear another sign of life from Suits. From 2011 to 2019 The legal series with Gabriel Macht and Patrick J. Adams in the lead roles ran on the US broadcaster USA Network. A success, no question. But it wasn’t a success that necessarily required a sequel.
After nine seasons, the Suits chapter seemed to be closed forever. But then Netflix added the entire series to its program in the USA last year and caused a stir incredible surge in popularity. Even though Suits had already been over for four years at that point, the series suddenly took over the streaming charts.

Since Netflix’s success, the question has been raised as to whether the Suits universe will be expanded. A revival with the old cast? A sequel including a handover of the season? Or a complete reboot that introduces us to a completely new generation of lawyers. There are currently many indications that we are… classic spin-off expected.

As Comic Book reports, Hollywood insider Matthew Belloni unpacked exciting details about the new Suits series in his newsletter Puck. This takes place in Los Angeles and deals with a law firm that is in… Entertainment area is working. The details about the series’ main character are particularly interesting.
Erica is the name of the new Suits heroine. She is around 30 years old, black and comes from California. She graduated from Harvard University and now wants to put her skills to the test in practice. She’s got it right Head of Entertainment apart and is smarter than all her colleagues.
The most important thing: Erica easily manages to win over even the most demanding clients. This means she can do it quickly climb up the career ladder. As successful as Erica is in her job, things are completely different in her private life. Here she struggles with countless problems and cannot make any progress.

Meghan Markle in suits
As Comic Book notes, there are some parallels to another well-known Suits character in the character description: Rachel Elizabeth Zane. This was played by Meghan Markle. However, after seven seasons, Markle left the series. The reason for this was her relationship with Prince Harry. Her character was not recast.
When and where does the new Suits series start?
There is currently no start date for the new Suits series. The project is in an early phase. But what we definitely know is that Suits creator Aaron Korsh is involved again. NBCUniversal is producing the series. It is unclear whether it will come directly to Netflix or will be licensed to the streaming service later.
