Several independent sources describe how Roger Fredriksson (M), the chairman of the municipal board in Ronneby, one night last autumn alerted the police, ambulance and social services to another municipal politician – and accused him of having drugs at home and being under the influence of drugs, among other things.
But the accusations were unfounded and the action has drawn strong criticism against the municipal council.
– There was no reason to go there if you say so, says an employee at the social administration in the municipality.
Deep conflict
The reason behind the action must have been an infected conflict between Fredriksson and the other politician.
– Roger sent me text messages all night and I was asleep. When I saw it in the morning, I was completely frozen because I thought that NN (the other politician) had been pushed to do something terrible, says Sara Blixt (M), deputy group leader in Ronneby.
In the text message conversation, which SVT has seen, it appears that the municipal councilor starts texting shortly before midnight:
23:42: NN is backed into a corner now
01:56: 112 on NN now
02:19: Ambulance on site immediately
03:13: And now the police will guard me

An anonymous M source confirms the image to SVT:
– It was studied behavior on Roger’s part and caused major problems for the victim and his family.
Despite the seriousness, the exposed politician’s party chose not to proceed with Fredriksson’s actions:
– It is of course boring and there is a lot to like about this. But primarily it is a matter for the two involved to sort out, says a party colleague to the politician who was exposed to Fredriksson’s actions last autumn.
Roger Fredriksson declines an interview and writes in a text message that he “does not comment on rumours”.
SVT Nyheter Blekinge has sought a representative for the other politician’s party. The politician himself does not want to make any comments.
