The LVU group in Gällivare – buys out “fired” administrators

It all started in October last year when after a whistleblower’s alarm about inaccuracies in LVU matters. Gällivare municipality brought in the consultant Anna-Riika Törrönen to review several cases and two case managers were suspended.

SVT Norrbotten has previously revealed how three M politicians controlled a decision to move two children home to their mother convicted of violence. All the way from influence to decision.

  • LVU administrator in Gällivare fired: “Ready for court”

  • JO: Gällivare has broken down in several areas regarding the children

  • The Inspectorate for Care and Care, Ivo, then criticized the municipality for the handling of that case.

The case managers, who were notified of their dismissal after the suspension, were not criticized. Neither wanted to reunite the children with their mother.

That’s how much the administrators get

Since the municipality’s decision to fire the employees, there have been long negotiations between the municipality and the union.

The municipality listed several points about the grounds for dismissal, but that list has been changed several times. According to information to SVT, the union, for its part, believed that there were inaccuracies and shortcomings in Törrönen’s investigation.

Now Gällivare municipality is backing away from the decision to dismiss the administrators. Instead, they buy out the two employees for six months’ wages each and 17,000 in compensation for being suspended.

SVT Norrbotten has tried to reach personnel manager Anna Johansson Miettinen.
