The loss affair Now the luxury villa from SVTs Husdrommar

News24 has previously written about luxury villas from SVT’s “Husdrömmar”. The house has a spectacular design with large windows and many rounded corners and was built with the help of a feng shui expert.

Exceeded the budget by four million

Every detail in the house has a deeper thought behind it, to create harmony in the home through the five different elements: water, earth, metal, wood and fire.

But the construction of the house dragged on considerably and the final price was significantly higher than the budget. The final bill for the house landed at a whopping 14 million kroner, even though the budget was only 10 million kroner.

In the same week that the program was broadcast, the luxury villa on Värmdö was put up for sale on Hemnet, something that upset many viewers.

Several submitted reports to the Review Board and believed that the couple had received free advertising for their house in the public service, which Nyheter24 wrote more about.

In a comment to Nyheter24 replied Sindre Lind-Åkerblommarketer at SVT, on the criticism.

– SVT does not want houses that figure in Husdrömmar to be sold in connection with the program. SVT also does not select houses for the program where the owners have thoughts of selling when it is finished. If it does happen that the owners need to sell, which can happen when you engage in ambitious house projects, SVT cannot prevent it. But then of course you must not take advantage of SVT’s or Husdrömmar’s brands in your advertising.

Now the mentioned villa on Värmdö has been sold. But it didn’t turn out to be the amount the couple wanted.

The villa, which cost 14 million to build, was posted on Hemnet with an asking price of SEK 10,995,0000. But the final price was a significantly lower sum.

The brokerage firm published the final price on its website, and wrote that the couple sold their villa for SEK 9,250,000.

But when Nyheter24 gets in touch with the broker, he refers to the legal deed and believes that he cannot guarantee that the final price shown on their website is correct.

The sellers have chosen to refrain from commenting on the sale and the criticism that has arisen.
