During the morning, a train derailed full of timber in Östavall in Ånge municipality and Jan-Erik Svensson was out clearing the grass when suddenly both train carriages and timber came towards him.
– I did not even have time to get scared, you did not know what really happened, says Jan-Erik Svensson.
According to the Swedish Transport Administration’s press officer, Peter Jonsson, the train had recently left the terminal when something went wrong and the train derailed, right next to the site where Jan-Erik and Lena Svensson live.
