Olkinuora was the fourth Finnish player to be chosen as the most valuable player in the World Cup tournament.
The World Championships ended on Sunday with the Finnish Golden Festival. Canada crashed in the final Sakari Mannisen with extension batch paint 4–3. The Lions’ backman had brilliantly defeated in the tournament Jussi Olkinuora. He played eight matches with a rebound percentage of 94.8 and an average of 1.11 goals conceded.
