Finland plays in Group A in Stockholm together with Austria, Canada, Latvia, France, Sweden, Slovakia and Slovenia.
On the first day of the competition, the Lions will face Austria in their opening match.
In Group B, Kazakhstan, Norway, Germany, Switzerland, Denmark, Czech Republic, Hungary and USA are fighting for further places in Herning.
The four best teams from both initial groups qualify for the playoffs.
The medals will be decided on May 25 in Stockholm.
