Today, the lights go out in homes, workplaces and well -known landmarks in Finland and worldwide as an Earth Hour event at WWF.
Earth Hour is the world’s largest environmental event where the lights are turned off as a symbolic gesture for climate and nature. The lights are to be turned off at half past nine in the evening for an hour.
The event also encourages you to give an hour to nature, for example, during Earth Hour.
Earth Hour started in Sydney, Australia in 2007. In Finland, the event has been celebrated since 2009.
