Monday is a break day at the World Ski Championships. The races continue on Tuesday, when the women’s 10 km freestyle skiing competition is on the program. See the program and broadcast information of the World Ski Championships in this link.

In Planica World Cup skiing, after the break on Tuesday, the women’s 10 km freestyle competition is on the program. Representing Finland Kerttu Niskanen, Krista Pärmäkoski, Eveliina Piippo and Jasmi Joensuu.

Niskanen hurt his leg after falling in the warm-up before the combined skiing on Saturday. The leg has been bothering me more than has been exposed in public.

– Let’s say this way, it should not have happened. The leg comes with it, but it still has sensations. Tomorrow morning, of course, it will be wiser how it feels then, Niskanen said.

Niskanen did not ski on Sunday in the pair sprint, where Finland was represented by Pärmäkoski and Joensuu.

– I knew it after the combined race, my leg felt so hard. On the pair sprint day, I couldn’t even go on skis, Niskanen said.

Vapaan kymppi is not one of Niskanen’s favorite trips. Niskanen’s main journey of 30 kilometers on a traditional one is ahead on Saturday.

– I hope that I can give my all to the track. I’ve never made it to the podium with a free ten. You have to ski well to get a good ranking.

The weather has also changed in Planica. It snowed on Monday.

– The weather changed completely. At first we were in maximum wet weather and even had to salt the track. Now we are on the freezing side and it snowed quite properly. We’ll see what the situation is in the morning. Hopefully the weather will be good enough, Niskanen hoped.

Krista Pärmäkoski highlighted the track for tomorrow’s competition.

– At least the track is interesting. You have to remember which direction to turn at which point along the track. A strange solution, I’ve never seen anything like this before. Sometimes we don’t even go the same route, we switch to the other side, Pärmäkoski stated.

Pärmäkoski was sixth in the combined race and also sixth in the pair sprint with Joensuu.

– I am very confident. There will be a tough race tomorrow, you have to push yourself.

Eveliina Piippo fell at the beginning of the combined race, but came in 15th place. A good result can be expected from Vapaa’s ten.

– Ten is an appropriately long trip. When oxygen intake is a strength, you can keep yourself in the upper range for a long time.

The snowy weather would suit Piipo.

– Let’s hope it will be like this tomorrow as well. It doesn’t slide up or down and the bends are easy.

The broadcast of the women’s 10 km (v) race starts on TV2 and Areena at 1:15 p.m. and Puhe at 1:20 p.m.
