The crime series Bodies has been dominating the Netflix charts since last week. Crime series are a dime a dozen. But Bodies stands out from the crowd. We are dealing with a case that… four time levels is told: 1890, 1941, 2023 and 2053. This is an exciting concept and causes a lot of questions from the audience.
Kyle Soller receives a lot of attention. He plays the investigating detective in London in 1890, namely
DI Alfred Hillinghead. Wait, we just saw Soller somewhere recently? Exactly! Soller is one of the great discoveries of the best Star Wars series to date on Disney+: Andor.
Before the Netflix series Bodies, Kyle Soller starred in the brilliant Star Wars series Andor on Disney+
In Andor, Soller also embodies a kind of law enforcement officer. For twelve episodes he plays the role of Syril Karn to see who works as an inspector for the security company Pre-Mor. Karn impresses with his work ethic and idealism. Ultimately, however, he is misguided and turns into a villain.

With Syril Karn, Andor has produced one of the most interesting Star Wars characters in recent years. He constantly moves between the fronts and tries to make the right decisions. Exactly this ambition will be his downfall and drives him more and more into the fascism of the empire.
If you want to see more of Kyle Soller after Bodies, Andor is the perfect place to go
Syril Karn is one extremely ambivalent figure – and Kyle Soller brings it to life with a brilliant performance. His nuanced acting allows us to hate Karn and feel sorry for him at the same time. Rarely has a Star Wars character fluctuated so much between patheticness and evil, garnished with bitter tragedy.

Kyle Soller as Syril Karn in Andor
If you liked Soller in Bodies, you should definitely take a look at Andor. The Rogue One spin-off has unfortunately never the popularity achieved by Star Wars series such as The Mandalorian or, most recently, Ahsoka. Nevertheless, this is one of the best stories in the entire star saga.
Bodies Season 2 and Andor Season 2: Will we see more of Kyle Soller in the series?
There is good news and bad news. First the bad: Bodies was conceived as a miniseries, which means we shouldn’t have high hopes for a second season. Things are different with Andor: The second season is already in production and is hitting expected in 2024 on Disney+.
