Before the race, Marcus Ericsson led the championship by 15 points ahead of Newgarden. After the race, the Swede remains in the lead, now with eight points ahead of Will Power who was second in the race after Pato O’Ward.
Ericsson started as number 15. He advanced, was fourth for a long time, but lost after a pit stop. He finished sixth, two places better than on Saturday.
Felix Rosenqvist, who crashed on Saturday, finished seventh. He dropped positions at a pit stop due to brake problems, but pulled up at the end.
