The Swedish company Think Pink has been drawn into what has been called Sweden’s biggest environmental scandal ever.

At the center is the company’s former CEO Bella Nilssonnowadays Farbia Vancor.

She took over the role of company manager in 2014 after her former husband Thomas Nilsson founded the company back in 1998.

The Tink Pink mess: Dumped hazardous waste

The business consisted of handling and taking care of unsorted construction and demolition waste from various construction sites in the country.

However, according to the indictment that was brought at the end of 2023, it emerged that hundreds of thousands of tons of unsorted waste had been shipped to various locations in Sweden. The waste has then been dumped there and in some cases buried in the ground. This resulted in fires breaking out and environmental toxins spreading both in the air and on the ground.

After a municipality prohibited the company from dumping more, it emerged that the total amount sent to a landfill outside Västerås was used for dumping waste significantly more than agreed. Think Pink had sent there four times as much waste compared to the agreed limit of 10,000 tonnes.

On September 3, 2024, the trial began against several people, including Thomas Nilsson and Bella Nilsson.

Another person who has ended up in the soup around the environmental scandal is the entrepreneur and the former television profile Leif-Ivan Karlsson. The reason is that for a period he was registered as CEO of the company, but has all along claimed that he was not involved in the company’s operations. Instead, according to himself, he would act as an outward advertising pillar.

In addition to the charge of serious environmental crime, a charge of accounting crime is also involved. This after the Nilssons lived for several years on money that, according to the prosecutor, was the company’s.

Among other things, they allegedly had the company pay for 1,580 restaurant visits at a cost of almost SEK 700,000. In addition, several trips and private clothing purchases.

The police preliminary investigation amounts to a breathtaking 45,000 pages.

The lawyer’s body was found in Bella Nilsson’s chest of drawers

Despite the indictment against the protagonist Bella Nilsson, several question marks have been raised about her continued lifestyle. The relationship with the lawyer has also been questioned.

The prosecutor in the case has, among other things, been alerted by the police regarding the circumstances surrounding her and her lawyer Jan Tibblingwho was previously chief prosecutor at the Ecocrimes Agency at the same time that Bella Nilsson was being investigated for ecocrimes.

The reason why voices were raised regarding their relationship is when the police found his service badge in a box at Bella Nilsson’s home, surrounded by panties and other underwear, it states TV4.

According to Tibbling himself, he is said to have replied that the reason his service badge was among the suspect’s underwear was when he had been to dinner at her house and then forgot it after leaving.

TV4 Nyheterna also states that Nilsson today has a debt of around SEK 2.5 million to the Kronofogden. With that, it is easy to assume that the lifestyle has become cheaper for her. But that doesn’t seem to be the case.

According to them, a businessman has transferred over 2.4 million kroner to her account to cover her private expenses, which include everything from travel and consumption to cosmetic surgery and legal fees. What stands out, however, is that the person who is chairman of the board of the company, where a person transferred money to Bella Nilsson, is none other than Jan Tibbling.

The bailiffs themselves claim that it is not forbidden to receive gifts if you are in debt.

In an interview with TV4, the prosecutor has Anders Gustafsson commented on whether there is a conflict of interest in the case of Jan TIbbling and Bella Nilsson.

– The situation appeared to be problematic, we thought a lot about it, but our opinion is that there is no conflict of interest or scumbag.
