It is the county administrative board of Västernorrland that, on behalf of the Public Health Agency, has been given the task of drawing up a new set of regulations. But it has taken time. The money was already received in 2014. Only now is the law becoming a reality.
Collaboration in a new way
– It is about local cooperation between the police, customs, the municipality and the postal service. That staff were not allowed to contact the police if they suspected illegal items. The new law gives staff permission to do so, says Ulrika Viklund, coordinator for crime prevention work and Parental Support at the County Administrative Board in Västernorrland.
