The final launch patch for World of Warcraft The War Within will be released in a few days. Then everything will be ready for the big release.
Even though the pre-patch for World of Warcraft The War Within has been active for two weeks and the pre-event “Radiant Echoes” for over a week, the developers are not finished yet. Before the next expansion of WoW officially starts, there will be another patch that will tinker with the balance of all classes and their abilities.
In addition to some changes to the talents, there are also drastic adjustments to the various skills – some buffs and nerfs of up to 40%.
What kind of patch is this? Patch 11.0.2 is the “launch patch” for World of Warcraft The War Within. Since the pre-patch 11.0 was launched, Blizzard has made a whole host of changes to the beta of The War Within. Not only have the dungeons been reworked, but many classes have also received a lot of adjustments and changed talents. The reason for this is that the beta of The War Within is still running and every week provides new findings that have to be integrated into the live version of the game before the launch.
What is changing? The changes are too extensive to discuss in detail, but the most important changes include that the guild bank can now be used correctly in cross-realm guilds and deserters in PvP can no longer play PvP matches with their entire account until the debuff has expired – previously this only applied to individual characters.
In addition, there are over 200 changes to the classes, which bring strong buffs and nerfs.
You can read all the changes in detail on page 2 of this article.
Why is the patch coming so early? With the release of the launch patch, Blizzard will have just under 8 days left until the start of Early Access. That’s enough time to fix urgent bugs and errors and ensure that everything runs smoothly and all classes are in a solid state when Early Access starts on August 23rd.
It is expected that Blizzard will release a few more hotfixes between August 14 and August 23 to resolve pressing issues and ensure that all those who pre-ordered the Epic Edition can start early access to The War Within on Friday, August 23.
