the last Windows updates of the year are here

Like every second Tuesday of the month, Microsoft has just published cumulative updates for the different versions of Windows 10 and 11. Security fixes, bug fixes, new functions, this is what Patch Tuesday for December 2024 contains.

Microsoft deployed yesterday, Tuesday, December 10, 2024, a set of cumulative updates for its Windows 10 and 11 operating systems. These updates, grouped under the name Patch Tuesday, aim as always to fill vulnerabilities in security, fix bugs, improve performance and bring new features.

Each of the three versions of Windows officially under maintenance received its own update, namely: KB5048652 for Windows 10 22H2, KB5048685 for Windows 11 23H2 and KB5048667 for Windows 11 24H2. If you are using one of these versions, the corresponding update will be offered to you automatically by Windows Update.

December 2024 Patch Tuesday: what do the Windows 10 and 11 updates contain?

No flashy new features or functional revolution for this Patch Tuesday vintage. Microsoft is limited to publishing the usual security vulnerability patches, which number in the dozens, for each version of the operating system, correcting a few bugs here and there, and making a few small improvements and developments.
