The new The Last of Us Part 1 patch improves framerate and load times in the game and many bugs in the game.
Developer Naughty Dog has released The Last of Us Part 1 patch. The patch further improves the performance of the port for the PC version. This update, called patch 1.0.5, improves many aspects of the game such as texture accuracy, frame rate and level loading, and fixes many bugs.

According to the notes, this patch reduces shading times. In order to play your game better, you need to download the latest version of your graphics card driver.

The Effects Intensity setting will be part of The Last of Us Part 1 after this update. You can also adjust the intensity and number of non-critical visual effects by accessing Graphics from Options. Also, the “Very Low” option has been added.
After that you will see additional scalability setting for low and medium in-game graphics settings in the game. The VRAM effect of texture quality settings has been reduced, allowing most players to increase this feature or get better performance with the current settings.
The Last of Us Part 1 patch
Fixed crashes when launching the game on Windows 11 and Intel Arch. In addition, the resulting image gets stuck while aiming. The update also fixed a bug in The Last of Us Part 1 where sniping precision was not being applied to sniper weapons.
Patch 1.0.5 also overhauled a bug where changing graphics settings during gameplay would cause the player to restart at the wrong checkpoint. Fixed issue that prevented Lens Flare settings from being applied. In Left Behind, the update fixed an issue that also caused a crash when jumping into electric water.
Some changes have only come to AMD and these changes mainly include improvements in load times.
