The 1st season of The Last of Us is coming to an end. Before we get to the finale, a nerve-wracking episode awaits us next week with one special guest star. We’re talking about actor and voice actor Troy Baker, who brings none other than Joel to life in the video games.
When the HBO film adaptation of The Last of Us was announced, it quickly became clear that in the course of the series implementation new actors cast become. So now The Mandalorian star Pedro Pascal takes over the part of Joel. Nevertheless, there are numerous references to the video game template, as the trailer for episode 8 proves.

In addition to visual references, hidden clues and the involvement of The Last of Us creator Neil Druckmann, Baker is now directly involved in the series. However, he does not appear as Joel. Instead, he takes the part of James, who is a member of a malicious group of survivors is.

In the first The Last of Us game James belongs to a cannibal group, led by the bestial David (Scott Shepherd). It looks like the original Joel will become very dangerous to the series Joel in episode 8.
When is The Last of Us Episode 8 coming to Sky and WOW?
The 8th episode of The Last of US airs Sunday in the US on HBO and is in Germany starting Monday, Dec March 6, 2023, available from Sky and the associated streaming service WOW. The final follows a week later. But fear not: Season 2 of the post-apocalyptic series has already been confirmed.
