The deposit on tomb jars was already introduced in 1984, and quickly became a successful project.

The new prices – this is how much the deposit will be raised in 2025
In the days announced Pantamera that the deposit on cans and bottles will be increased during 2025. The deposit will be increased by one kroner per package.
The new prices that apply are as follows:

What happens to your old mortgage?
New cans and bottles with the new deposit amount will only be available in September 2025 – and only these will be covered by the higher deposit.
Your old tomb jars will therefore not be worth more, but the sum stated on the packaging is the one that will be paid back.

On its website lists Pantamera the requirements to get back the deposit on your can or bottle:
They also confirm that the same rules apply to cans and bottles with the old deposit amount. They must be pledged within two years of the last date of sale.
The old cans will stop being sold in September 2025, and will thus be able to be pawned until September 2027.
