A motion initiated by the Party for the Animals calls for the Amersfoort region and the province to be encouraged to take an active stance against the flight route. Except for Amersfoort for Freedom, the ChristenUnie, DENK and the VVD, all political groups in the city council support the text. That amounts to 29 of the 39 seats. It will be discussed and voted on next Tuesday at the council meeting.
