The Kremlin criticizes France “ready” to “participate directly” in the conflict

President Emmanuel Macron’s statements on Thursday on increased military support for Ukraine show that France is “ready to participate directly in the conflict”, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitri Peskov said on Friday.

“Let’s say that Mr. Macron demonstrates absolute support for the Ukrainian regime and declares that the French Republic is ready to directly participate in the military conflict,” Dmitry Peskov told Russian agencies.

Zelensky: “Europe is no longer a continent of peace”

“Europe is no longer a continent of peace” since the start of the invasion of Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelensky told French MPs on Friday, calling Russian President Vladimir Putin “a common enemy” his country and Europe.

Russia: a Frenchman arrested in Moscow
