The knowledge school in Linköping is closed down

– Today we have a normal school day and I want to focus on my teachers and students, says the school’s principal Robert Olsson, who confirms the news about the closure.

Kunskapsskolan in Linköping is a middle and upper secondary school that started in 2012. The school was built for 360 students, but today only 102 attend.

– For several years, we have seen a declining number of pupils in Linköping. We have made great efforts to make the school more attractive, but unfortunately we have not succeeded, says Sofi Klang, head of communications at Kunskapsskolan.

New school choice

On Monday, the staff at the school were informed of the closure. Today, students and parents received the message.

– We try to support and take care of each other now, says Sofi Klang.

At the moment, teaching continues as usual at the school. During the spring, the students will have to make a new school choice for the autumn semester 2024.

– We will help with that and have also contacted the municipality to facilitate new school placements, says Sofi Klang.
