Result: less than a few days before Christmas, it is a cocooning inspiration that is unanimous on the Chinese social network, halfway between fashion and cosmetics: “nail art knitting”, one of the most cozy beauty trends of the year.
The “knit nail art”: the principle of this beauty trend
In these times of sobriety, the turtleneck has a crowd of followers all over the world, at least in countries where the temperatures flirt with the negative. However, we had no idea that this garment would go so far as to dress the nails of the most knowledgeable beauty addicts. The “nail art knit” – which is also found under the name nail art sweater – has a crowd of followers on TikTok, to the point of seeing the emergence of manicures all more original than the others, with however a variation that stands out: the cable knit sweater, a must for winter.
A trend that we owe to the craze for several years for textured nails, which allow you to give free rein to your imagination and your desires. Do you still have to be skilled enough to get the desired result… On TikTok, tutorials dedicated to “nail art knitting” are multiplying at high speed to allow as many people as possible to reproduce it as easily as possible. And it is clear that you don’t need much, except a nail art brush and a lot of dexterity.
On TikTok, the hashtags associated with this trend, including the most popular #knittednailart, already generate more than 6 million views. We discover nails decorated with the now famous twisted sweater, with variations as diverse as they are varied. Sequins, rhinestones, matte effect, and pearls are among the most popular versions. Note that the less skilled can opt for a single textured nail, or even on twists only drawn on the tips of the nails. Now, to your brushes and varnishes!
