Ronnie O’Sullivan has won the seventh World Snooker Championship. The seventh title, achieved late Monday, lifted him to share the record with Stephen Hendry.

Ronnie O’Sullivan46, defeated his young challenger in the World Cup final of snooker Judd Trumpin excellent 18-13 at the traditional Crucible Theater in Sheffield, England. Trump, 32, who has bent in the final, is the 2019 World Champion.

In the seventh World Championship of his career, O’Sullivan rose to share World Cup record Stephen Hendryn with. Hendry won seven world championships between 1990 and 1999.

O’Sullivan’s previous World Cup victory was two years ago. He won his first world championship 21 years ago. O’Sullivan reached the World Cup title as the oldest player.

O’Sullivan, the number one player on the world list, holds the highest number of prizes not only in ranking tournaments but also in major tournaments. Now he is also sharing the World Championship winning record, which was the only missing piece on the extensive achievement list.

O’Sullivan has been in the brightest star glory of the sport for a staggering 30 years. Hendry was once a major tournament winner for ten years.
