One of the artists who took part in Saturday night’s concert was Magnus Uggla, who performed his smash hit “King för en dag” from 1997. Carl XVI Gustaf himself crooned along under the text line “king, king, king in the bar”, something that got both Uggla and the royal family to laugh at.
After the tribute concert, the king gave a speech to the artists and the gathered crowd from the stage.
– There is a certain difference between your job and my job, states the king.
