In 117 AD, a Pictish tribe attacked a Roman outpost in what is now Scotland. Only centurion Quintus Dias (Fassbender) survives and a short time later meets fellow soldiers from the ninth legion of the Roman army. Together they seek revenge. And get caught in a murderous ambush.

According to many critics, Centurion is not a masterpiece, but it is particularly Fans of battle scenes and intense depictions of violence more than satisfactory.
The film by Neil Marshall (The Descent) flopped at the box office and only made back half of its production budget (via The Numbers). In addition to Michael Fassbender, Dominic West (300) can be seen in front of the camera.
