The Kärppie’s toddler season is already historically bad – the 100-goal milestone hit the Oulu club’s net | Sports in a nutshell

The Karppies toddler season is already historically bad the

Needing deep waters, Oulun Kärpät has won only one of its last ten games in the hockey league.

Pori Ässät continued the low division of Oulu Kärppie in the hockey league with a 4–1 away win. The defeat was the seventh in a row for the former SM league dynasty club.

Kärpät continues in 12th place. For Äss, who is seventh in the series, the victory was the second in the last five fights.

Since Kärpät joined the hockey league in 2000, it has never lost seven consecutive games before.

At the same time, Kärpät, who conceded the most back-to-back goals in the series, achieved a dubious honor when it was the first league team to score a hundred goals this season before the middle of the regular season.

For example, in the 2018–19 season, Kärpät conceded only 101 goals in the entire regular season of 60 matches.

The Aces scored from the Kärppie’s mistakes

Aces had an up-and-coming opening set and it was rewarded in the closing seconds, when Kärppien Maxim Korpimäki fell into a rough pass rush in his own area. The Aces got a kick out of it in the locker room finish in 19:47.

Nester Noiva was allowed to finish Take Ylitalo pass to pot 1–0. For Ylitalo, 19, the league point was the first of his career in his seventh game.

At the end of the second period, the 21-year-old Kärppi defender Viljami Juusola hit Ässien Noiva in the neck with a cross stick in frustration, but avoided a big punishment. Ässien about the superiority that followed Arttu Kärki however, doubled Ässie’s lead with his hard hitting shot.

In the third set Patrik Juhola hit a hard spot with his solo performance for the 3–1 goal right after Kärppie’s 1–2 reduction. Dylan Fabre at the end sealed Ässien’s final score to 4–1.

“Myllyskoski swallows his mistakes, the coach changes”

Sports expert Top Nättinen reminds that Kärppie’s sports director Mikko Myllykoski has previously said that the club will first try to solve its problems with player exchanges.

Now a Swedish player with an NHL record is coming to Oulu Marcus Björkwho didn’t play today though.

– Kärpät started the season with a “chaos disc”, and you can’t just change it after 10-12 weeks. The other clubs have a big head start at that point. At the same time, we were blinded by the fact that the team’s first pitch kept the team upright from the beginning of the season.

– Myllykoski has to swallow his own mistakes, and Ville Mäntymaan there is a need to change the coach in order to release the atmosphere, sees expert Nättinen.

A demonstration from a fan group

Before today’s match, a demand from the Kärppie fan group Poromafia was seen on social media, in which it was stated that something should happen in the Oulu club and sportsmanship should be at the center.

The Poromafia supporters group announced that they will be silent in Raksila on Saturday, and as usual, will not support the team at all.

– Flies Marko Anttila played two games last week without a name and with the wrong game number, when the original one was reportedly lost somewhere. How can the club not get the correct game number for the Lions’ golden hero during three business days? A miracle jersey mix!

– Small things, maybe, but they don’t belong in an organization like the Kärppis. No Even Luka Modric plays for Real Madrid in the wrong jersey. On many other levels, you also have to think about whether it is a sports or entertainment business, expert Nättinen refers to Kärppi.
