Jan and his sisters believe that their father has perpetual burial rights. In doing so, he wanted to do justice to the last wishes of his father, who died in 1985. He wanted to be buried in his native village of Cothen, with perpetual rest. “It’s not about money for us,” Jan Verbeek said in the lawsuit. They want their father’s grave to remain forever.
