Hockey KHL will resume after a one-and-a-half-month break with playoffs starting March 1st.
The hockey series KHL confirmed on its website that the regular season will not be played out. The Russian Hockey Association approved KHL’s intentions.
The teams were ranked based on the average score. The Jokers finished second in the western block and will face Moscow’s Spartak in the opening round of the playoffs. Spartak was seventh in the west.
The Jokerit says on its website that it will start home games against Spartak on March 1st and 3rd.
Other match series in the Western Group will be played between the SKA of St. Petersburg and Dinamo of Minsk, TsSKA of Moscow and Lokomotiv Yaroslavl, and Dinamo of Moscow and Severstal Tsherepovets. Four wins are needed for the sequel.
KHL entered the Olympic break ahead of time due to the coronavirus pandemic. The league was last played on January 14th.
