Two years ago today, the James Webb space telescope and its giant mirror were launched into space by the Ariane-5 rocket. These photos of distant galaxies, formed in the early days of the universe, have flooded social networks and our imagination. But it is above all the scientists who welcome this rich harvest. RFI asked Éric Lagadec, astrophysicist at the Lagrange Laboratory of the Côte d’Azur Observatory, what James Webb allowed them to learn.
