Daniel Craig has made five films in the course of his Bond career – and hardly anyone went without at least one medium-sized catastrophe across the stage. His casting was already viewed critically by many fans before he made an impressive Bond debut with Casino Royale, which was released in 2006.
But the next part was already a challenging undertaking: A Quantum of Solace arose during the Scriptwriter strikes 2007/2008. Craig sometimes had to write his own lines on set to somehow complete the film. But the tale of woe was far from over.

Spectre, which was supposed to follow the success of Skyfall, was hit particularly hard. Skyfall was extremely well received by both critics and audiences. To date, it is the only Bond who gross over $1 billion could. So director Sam Mendes was hired to repeat the feat.

The 2014 Sony hack unearthed numerous details about Specter that made the film all-in-one presented in a very bad light. Among other things, e-mails were leaked which revealed that Sony was dissatisfied with the production. In addition, parts of an early screenplay draft made it onto the Internet and revealed major story twists.
Apparently there were big people behind the scenes Alignment disagreement of the project. Sony, Eon and MGM took different positions on the costly stunts and locations. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the film cost between $250 million and $275 million, exceeding its budget.
When Craig was asked in an interview with TimeOut at the release of Specter if he could imagine starring in another Bond, he answered with the drastic words: “I’d rather slit my wrists.” Nevertheless, he returned for one last mission – and went through Bond hell once more.
Craig’s last bond, No Time To Die, was also plagued by numerous problems. The script had to be rewritten several times. The director dropped out in pre-production. Craig was injured while filming and was out for several weeks. And then the pandemic got in the way of the theatrical release.
