There are records that weigh heavily.

And then there are heavy records.

Ask newly minted champion Ambra Collina.

The 37-year-old Italian’s thick body has just found its way into the Guinness Book of Records.

Ambra Collina decided to try to take home the record after she had seen pictures of the American Dante Barnes. His taut tongue was enough for the 2021 men’s world record. The circumference of his tongue was then the largest in the world: 12.19 centimeters.

Her massive tongue was measured three times by a doctor – and the circumference was put at 13.82 centimeters.

With that monster tongue, she beat former record holder Jenny DuVander from Oregon, USA. DuVander broke the record on February 27 of this year with his tongue measuring 13.23 centimeters in circumference.

But both women’s records pale in comparison to the current male record holder Sacha Feiner of Belgium – his tongue measures 16.99 in circumference.
