In a press release issued on Monday, the International Olympic Committee recommends that Russian and Belarusian athletes not be invited or admitted to international competitions by international sports federations and sporting events.
If this is not possible for organizational or legal reasons, the IOC strongly recommends that athletes not compete under the name of Russia or Belarus, but as neutral athletes or teams. National symbols, flags or national anthems should not be used.
