The Invisibles: what does season 4 of the series say about the unknown dead?

The Invisibles what does season 4 of the series say

The Invisibles, an atypical detective series from France 2, returns for a 4th season, to once again try to restore their identity to unknown victims.

After three seasons, the series The Invisibles was entitled to a 4th season which was scheduled from Monday November 11 on France 2. A final burst of episodes, which concludes the saga of the talented and atypical Lille police brigade, which has only one only goal: to give an identity and a history to the dead abandoned in total anonymity.

Led by the dark and tortured Gabriel Darius, played Guillaume Cramoisan, this team of endearing broken arms includes in its ranks the bubbly but tormented Duchess (Deborah Krey), her companion Ben (Quentin Faure), the generous and gruff Marie-Jo (Nathalie Cerda), without forgetting the rest of this small, united group devoted body and soul to their mission.

Confined in a dingy basement which serves as their office, despised by their colleagues from other services, the “Invisibles” have only 7 days to identify the “John” and “Jane Doe” who land in their jurisdiction. 7 days before they return to the common grave, 7 days to give them back a name, dignity and allow the families to mourn. A very crucial mission that Darius and his team carry out like a priesthood.

Answers and a final conclusion to the series

This final season of six episodes sees the brigade confront ever more demanding investigations. From a police officer infiltrated by a narcotics operation whose operation went wrong to domestic violence, through the ultra football circles and the actions of a clever crook, the Invisibles have no time to be idle in this 4th season .

The first episode, soberly titled “Marianne”, gets off to a flying start and immediately plunges the Invisibles into the heat of action. An unknown woman dressed in a police uniform was found dead in their headquarters. Very quickly, the case takes a mysterious turn: the victim does not correspond to any agent on duty and his identity remains a mystery. For once, the entire PJ of Lille, under the leadership of their boss Chistera, will put themselves at the service of the unit to elucidate this strange suicide which seems to denounce the working conditions of the police officers.

As usual, the series takes care to develop in parallel the journey of the culprits and the victims as well as the intimate journey of the members of the unit. Because this is where the strength of the Invisibles lies. Beyond the effective detective intrigues, it is the humanity and fragility of the characters that make the series so special. Starting with Darius himself, haunted by the disappearance of his mother when he was a child, and driven by an irresistible need to unravel the mystery of his origins.

This final part also concludes the narrative arcs started previously. Fans will be able to discover the fate of Ben, left in critical condition after a gunshot, under the horrified eyes of his beloved Duchess, during the season 3 finale.
