The investigation into the Russia investigation into Trump was completed – the FBI does not have enough evidence to investigate the connections of Trump’s election campaign with Russia

The investigation into the Russia investigation into Trump was completed

The final report of the investigation, which was started in 2019 by Attorney General John Durham, did not see any major new revelations. It is believed that the concrete effects of the investigation will remain minor.

The Department of Justice’s investigation into the activities of the US Federal Police, the FBI, has been completed.

The investigative report concluded that the FBI did not have enough evidence Donald Trump’s to begin an investigation into the 2016 presidential campaign’s alleged ties to Russia.

The more than 300-page report found that the authorities who investigated the matter relied too much on information provided by Trump’s political opponents and that the investigation was treated differently compared to other politically sensitive investigations.

The purpose of the investigation started by the US Department of Justice in May 2019 was to find out why the Department of Justice started a criminal investigation in 2017 into the alleged connections between Trump’s election campaign organization and Russia. The investigation was led by the state prosecutor John Durham.

The investigation report was handed over on Friday by the Minister of Justice To Merrick Garland and on Monday to Congress.

The report is believed to serve as a bludgeoning weapon for Trump

In the end, no major new revelations were made in the Durham report, and its concrete effects are believed to remain minor.

Matters from seven years ago have been reviewed internally by the Department of Justice, and the FBI has taken measures to correct its operations in the future.

It is believed that the effects of the report will also be minor on the legal side. During the investigation, Durham filed charges against two people, among other things, but the charges were dropped in 2022.

During the Durham investigation, an FBI attorney Kevin Clinesmith pleaded guilty in 2020 to perjury, for which he received a one-year suspended prison sentence. Clinesmith redacted the email used to obtain a wiretapping warrant for a Trump campaign aide.

The report is believed to provide Trump and the Republican Party with a weapon for next year’s election. The Republicans have started their own investigations into their claims that the Democrats have used the FBI and the Justice Department for their political advantage, for example in the investigations started against Trump.

Trump hoped that the Durham investigation would be completed before the 2020 presidential election.
