SVT Nyheter Blekinge was able to tell earlier this fall that the manager in Ronneby municipality who was reported for several cases of abusive discrimination had, among other things, created a list of which employees had sex with each other. SVT then interviewed about ten people who worked with the manager, who could tell about repeated harassment, threats and sexual allusions.
– We wrote down the names of men in his college block and which girls they had been with, says one of the employees.
After SVT’s review, Ronneby municipality made the decision to suspend the manager until the already ongoing investigation is completed, something that has now been carried out by an external party.
Establishes association policy
During Tuesday, the completed investigation was presented and according to it, twelve reports have been reviewed, of which three are classified as offensive according to the meaning of the law.
– But that does not take away from the perceived experiences that the staff reported, says head of administration Maria Appelskog during the press conference.
The report states, among other things, that there was a “gossip culture” that permeated the workplace and was harmful to the work environment. The municipality is now establishing a relationship policy that will clarify which relationships are okay to have in the workplace.
