The internet expert praises Greta’s defection: “Legendary”

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

When the American-British internet personality Andrew Tate recorded a sour response to Greta Thunberg, he probably did not think that uniformed police would storm into the home hours later.

Even less could he have guessed that it might have been the pizza boxes in the video that revealed the former kickboxer’s position in Romania, where he has now been accused of, among other things, human trafficking and rape.

But it all started with him falling into the same trap that many powerful men have fallen into – mocking the now 19-year-old climate activist Greta Thunberg.

More often than not, the end result has been just like in the case of Tate, that is, humiliation and a lesson in how to win sympathy online.

– That is already a legendary answer. She has a great tonality for putting people on the spot, especially dudes trying to master her. She makes everyone stick to her and makes whoever attacked her look like an idiot, says Måns Johansson, internet expert at the Internet Foundation.

At the time of writing, Greta’s initial response to Tate has been liked by over 3.5 million people, making the tweet the world’s sixth or seventh most liked ever, and the most liked by a woman.

– Just this kind of epic comebacks that Greta is making now, and the kind of spread it gets in a short time, also shows Twitter’s strength and makes me hope the platform lives on for many, many years, says Måns Jonasson.

Later on Thursday, the AP news agency stated, citing a Romanian court, that Andrew Tate is being held in custody for 30 days.
