The innovation that came with season 22 in Destiny 2

Destiny 2’s Deepsight weapon system has been updated to increase its functionality. Many Exotic Weapons will be obtainable in Season 22.

Destiny 2’s Deepsight weapon crafting system has received several updates to increase its functionality. Additionally, according to the latest State of the Game blog post, Bungie plans to make many Exotic Weapons available in Season 22 with the highly anticipated Exotic mission feature.

Destiny 2 players look forward to what’s new in season 22

Exotic quests are designed in line with Bungie’s goal, which aims to enrich the content of Destiny 2 and increase the replayability of old events by reducing seasonal fatigue in the community.

Destiny 2’s Exotic missions are a unique way for developers to combine complex narratives with challenging battle scenes and appropriate rewards. This will take players to many locations and side stories of the Destiny universe.

Initially, The Whisper and Zero Hour were introduced as secrets to discover. Later, missions such as The Other Side, Harbinger, and Pressage were presented directly tied to the current seasonal storyline. These optional events offer special Exotic weapons. Some have also shaped Destiny 2’s weapon balancing philosophy.

In response to backlash from the Destiny 2 community, Bungie admitted its mistake in a past blog post and promised to bring back Exotic missions with enhanced features and tweaks. In a recent State of the Game blog post, the studio confirmed the promised Exotic mission rotation with the upcoming Season 22, and also revealed that mission-specific Exotic weapons will be available through the Deepsight crafting system.

Information was also given about weapon making limitations.

The post also provided information about the weapon making limitations made. Fortunately, the previous weekly blog post on July 27 had indicated that Dead Man’s Tale, one of Destiny 2’s Exotic weapons, would follow the standard Deepsight weapon build requirements.

Players will also receive preset copies of the DMT with each completion, providing an additional avenue for possible good perk combinations in case they get unlucky with the Deepsight progression. If Bungie doesn’t offer different reward sources for each Exotic Weapon, we can assume that Dead Messenger and Revision Zero will also have buildable Deepsight patterns.
