— The girl’s condition is serious, but stable. She was operated on last night, says local police area manager Christian Nordin at a press conference in Ängelholm’s police station.
The 34-year-old woman who is suspected of the crime could be arrested after half an hour. The police have been active in the area after other acts of violence recently.
– We have received four reports, and from that we have had an operation underway since Wednesday out in the area, mainly with civilian personnel, but we have also worked with drones to search for the perpetrator.
The girl, who is ten years old, was cut with a sharp object.
