Linguist Noam Chomsky has lived in Brazil with his wife since 2015.
Information from a well-known American social critic and linguist by Noam Chomsky about death are not true, says his wife Valeria Wasserman Chomsky news agency AP by e-mail.
Chomsky, 95, has been hospitalized in Brazil since suffering a stroke last year. On Tuesday, he was allowed home, where the treatment is said to continue. False information about Chomsky’s death spread on Tuesday, among other things, in the Brazilian media and the X message service.
Chomsky has been living in Brazil with his wife since 2015. He is known, among other things, as a leading critic of US foreign policy.
